OLBERON AGREE DUTCH AND BELGIUM DISTRIBUTORSHIP FOR VACUDERM

Olberon Ltd, a medical device innovation company based in Nottingham, has agreed exclusive distribution rights in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg for its Vacuderm™ and Vacuderm for Kids™ tourniquet products, with Avant Medical B.V.

This is the fifth major distribution appointment this year as part of Olberon’s ambitious global growth programme.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Arash Bakhtyari, CEO of Olberon Ltd said "We are delighted that Avant Medical has agreed to be our exclusive distributor for Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, their knowledge and experience of the tourniquet market was a significant factor in our decision to appoint them, we look forward to working alongside their team in the future."

The Vacuderm™, is a single patient tourniquet for difficult to reach veins with a unique suction and pump mechanism to aid further filling of the veins. It has been designed to aid intravenous needle insertion for cannulation, blood collection and drug delivery. A version for children is currently being developed to distract each child at cannulation and to encourage them to ‘assist’ the procedure by pumping the dome.

Olberon Ltd was set up in 2005 in the UK and has accomplished a strong portfolio of in-house patented medical innovations, two medical devices that are market ready from concept to commercialisation, as well as offering consultancy services to both the NHS and the wider medical device market.

Avant Medical was established in 2009 and provides its products and services in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, They are distributors in specialised niche markets such as IVD, POCT and Medical Devices.
