VENOUS ACCESS DEVICES
Our single patient tourniquet device incorporates a disposable dome which creates negative pressure to distend the vein local to the intravenous access site to aid intravenous needle insertion for cannulation, blood collection and drug delivery.
In collaboration with the Nottingham Trent University, we have developed a self-retracting cannula which senses the moment of entry into the blood vessel and withdraws the inner needle. This helps the practitioner in better placing the cannula within the vein.
We have developed a novel Safety Phlebotomy Holder, Ezederm™, which improves the ease and precision of phlebotomy by increasing the stability of the holder and allowing a pen-like grip. This offers precise control over the needle in venous access.
Traditionally, ear and nose examinations require two mutually exclusive sets of equipment, such as an Otoscope and a Rhinoscope. The Otorhinoscope™ removes the need for multiple set-ups with its built in light and disposable, spreadable speculum.
Vibrating biopsy needle
The Vibrating Biopsy device uses a mechanical vibrating system with a manual squeeze drive trigger to create a vibration of the needle inside the tissues to increase visibility. This aids the operator during the procedure to more reliably and safely obtain tissue.
